Black Hills Saturday!

Today I am sharing with you some of the great places right here in the Black Hills!

Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is one of the many places here in the hills that is on my list of places to go with my youngest.  You can also visit them on Facebook!  You can go to their site to set up a tour, to donate or to sponsor one of these beautiful horses! If you can't make it there at least check out their website for some amazing pictures, like this one!

Next is The Humane Society of the Black Hills!  This is where we got both of our kitties and had our dog chipped.  I know a few people that go there just to play when they are having a rough day!  They are not the only humane society we have here in the hills, so if you are looking for a special friend make sure you check out the surrounding towns too!  They also have a Facebook page!  They welcome donations from food to printer paper!

Here is Haucuna, the pet of the day!  It is windy out there, but a good day to go for a visit!

Now I am going to take you to our local newspaper staff and check out Black Hills To Go.  I love going here to find out what is happening in the area (or what I am missing out on)!

Today you can go to General Beadle Elementary for a Home Expo from 10-4, admission is by donation and those under 17 are free when accompanied by an adult.

Tomorrow take the family to the Journey Museum (a favorite of ours) "For the Birds"!  From 2-4 they will have birds you can visit as well as craft projects for only $4 or $1 if you are a member!

Last but definitely not the least is Black Hills Works!  So if you are interested in volunteering make sure you check out their website!  Here is the description from their website:

Quote of the Day!

Challenge day 10 favorite quote: Doctor Who teaches us even if we are over 900 years old it's okay to be childish and have fun

I am off to enjoy a day away from the MOM duties and head into my beautiful Black Hills and maybe be just a little childish!!!
