Today on Facebook I am talking about The Day the Music Died.  Today is the anniversary of the 1959 plane crash that took the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Vallens and The Big Bopper.

The plane crashed near Clear Lake Iowa.  Pilot Roger Peterson was also killed in the crash, he was a 21 year old pilot that was called the night before to fly.
